Combs Student of the Month - May 2013
This year, the J.O. Combs Unified School District has partnered with Banner Ironwood in a Student of the Month program which recognizes one student every month from each of our schools. There is a selection process in place where students get recognized for the various pillars of the Character Counts Program which include Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Caring, Respect and Fairness.
This presentation will take place each month at our Regular Governing Board Meeting where representatives from Banner Ironwood Hospital will be in attendance to present each student with a Certificate of Special Recognition. A photograph will be taken with the representatives from Banner Ironwood, the Governing Board, and Superintendent Gayle A. Banner Health will offer an open house to highlight its new “Banner Children’s Healthmobile” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Banner Ironwood Medical Center, 37000 N. Gantzel Road.
The healthmobile is a mobile health unit which will travel to schools throughout the Valley each week to provide primary care for thousands of uninsured and underinsured children. The new service begins Monday, Jan. 14.

‘Banner Children’s Healthmobile’ to treat thousands of uninsured Valley youth
Banner Health soon will offer an ongoing mobile health unit which will travel to schools throughout the Valley each week to provide primary care for thousands of uninsured and underinsured children. The new service begins Jan. 14.
The “Banner Children’s Healthmobile” is a licensed outpatient treatment center that will operate just like a mobile doctor’s office, offering children up to 21 years of age treatment for health problems, physicals for camp or sports, and routine annual check-ups.Banner Ironwood celebrates 1,000th baby delivery in 2012
Banner Ironwood Medical Center recently celebrated its 1,000th baby delivery for the year of 2012.
Jennifer and Matthew Larson of San Tan Valley welcomed their daughter, Averleigh Joy, at 1:14 a.m. Dec. 29, with the help of Dr. Mandeep Kingra.
Averleigh became the sixth member of the Larson family, as she has 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Banner Ironwood medical staff presented the family with a gift basket to celebrate the occasion.

Banner Participates in Combs High School Family Night
Banner Ironwood Medical Center (BMIC) employees attended the Combs High School Family Night on October 19 where the Combs High School football team hosted Apache Junction.

The J.O. Combs Governing Board, Superintendent Gayle A. Blanchard, and Banner Ironwood Medical Center’s interim chief executive officer, Lori Linder, presented each student with a certificate.
Julie Nunley named Chief Executive Officer for Banner Ironwood Medical Center
Julie Nunley has been named chief executive officer of Banner Ironwood Medical Center at 37000 N. Gantzel Road in San Tan Valley, AZ.
She will assume her new duties on Monday, June 4.
Nunley replaces Deb Krmpotic, who is now CEO at Banner Estrella Medical Center in west Phoenix.Welcome Everley Odette Brown to San Tan Valley
Gene Brown and Domonique Moreno are proud to announce the arrival of Everley Odette Brown, who was born April 1st, 2012 at 10:41pm at Banner Ironwood Medical Center in San Tan Valley, AZ.
Everley weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 20" long at birth.
Mother, father, and baby are all doing fine!
When asked what the father thought of Banner Ironwood, "The experience was much better than expected. As a first time Dad, I was pretty nervous, but all of the doctors and nurses more than exceeded our expectations. Thank you Banner Ironwood!"
