The J.O. Combs Community Education department is excited to offer afterschool enrichment classes on all five of the J.O. Combs elementary sites.  Athletes in Training Sports Club gives boys and girls the opportunity to investigate and participate in multiple sports.  After completing a session of both water games and basketball, the November session will highlight soccer at Ellsworth and Simonton Elementary Schools.  Children are divided into age groups and taught age appropriate soccer skills through fun activities.

Thanks to a $3.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Central Arizona College’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program opened its doors for its first-ever STEM camp.

The camp is being offered at no-cost to Pinal County high school students and includes snacks and lunch.
