Emily who started out as one of tens of thousands of girls to enter the Pitch, Hit and Run from across the country, is now one of 90 girls left to battle for the National Championship. After having won the local competition in Queen Creek, Emily moved on to the Sectional Competition in Chandler. She had to have one of the three highest scores for all of the Sectionals being conducted throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Emily did just that and qualified for the National Semi-Finals.
It is now down to Emily and two other girls, who will be competing next Sunday, May 27th at 7:00am at Chase Field. It will be one of these three girls that will be the representative of the Diamondbacks at the All-Star Game.
